CAN YOU HELP?

As you may already know, Peebles-Hendaye Twinning Association has invited a group of traditional Basque dancers, known as Akelarre to perform at Peebles Arts Festival in August; the group will number about 35 in all.
The committee is now making up a list of those members of the Association, friends and members of the Public who would be willing to host one, two or more guests during the visit. The group is of mixed ages ranging from teenagers to people in their 50s and 60s, both men and women.
At this stage we would like to know only if you are interested in hosting and how many people you could take. It would also be helpful if you could let us know what accommodation you have and if you are able to speak French or Spanish so that we can match with the guest?s wishes.
The dates for the visit are from Tuesday 26th to Sunday 31st August and a full programme is being compiled for the visit. For those who have not hosted before, there will be, in addition to providing accommodation, a requirement to provide some meals at home. Further information and advice regarding the visit will be set out in more detail during the coming weeks.

10th - 18th June   Pupils and teachers from Collège St Vincent on exchange visit as guests of Peebles High School
                       
26th - 31st August  Basque Dance Group, Akelarre will be appearing in Peebles during the Arts Festival.
                        
Rugby : Peebles R.F.C. A group of approximately 30+ players arrive in Hendaye on the 14th August and leave on the 18th or 19th. They will be hosted in a secondary school and take part in the centenary of Stade Hendayais which takes place on 14th,15th and 16th August.( more details to follow )
